Top 5 Ways to Use the Slimming World Lose Weight

Losing weight and keeping it off can be very difficult, but you’ll find it much easier to reach your goals if you use the right tools! Use these top 5 ways to use the Slimming World app to help you with your weight loss journey, and you’ll get to your goal weight faster than ever before!

1) Set Achievable Goals

To lose weight, you have to eat less. But rather than setting a goal of losing 10 pounds in a week, you should instead be realistic about what your body is going through and set goals based on healthy behaviors. A more realistic goal could be losing one pound per week. If that seems too slow, break it down further. For example, a fundamental goal for one week might be three meals of 350 calories each and two snacks of 200 calories each. Write down your goals and plan out how you will achieve them. The most important part is being specific in your intentions! Take it from Dr. Oz!

2) Track Your Progress

One of the biggest challenges people face when they want to lose weight is keeping track of how much they’re eating. Tracking every bite, you take throughout each day helps you be more aware of what and how much you’re eating. Apps, such as myfitnesspal, are a great way to do that easily. And if it doesn’t match up with what you’ve eaten by writing it down on paper, you know there’s a problem! Once you start tracking your calories and your fitness level, it becomes easier for your brain to predict when it will run out of fuel and signal your body that it’s time for another meal or snack. In other words, food isn’t just about taste – it’s also about math!

3) Meal Plans and Recipes

The app’s meal plans and recipes are great because they’re carefully designed and easy to follow and don’t require expensive or hard-to-find ingredients. The shopping lists built into each program make it easy to pick up everything you need while at the store. And if you ever get stuck on a recipe, there’s a built-in function that links you directly with a phone call to one of their dieticians for advice. The best part is that all of these features come for free in addition to your membership. However, if money is tight, subscription plans start at just $4 per month.

4) Get Active with FitNotes

One of my favorite features on FitNotes is earning points based on activity. You don’t have to use your phone to track activity—it uses GPS data (if available) and gives you credit for your steps. Additionally, it tracks your sleep and syncs with MyFitnessPal for calories burned. Plus, there are fun little challenges built in to stay motivated and earn rewards. If you aren’t already a member of FitNotes, I highly recommend checking it out; it’s free!

5) Workout with Friends

Studies show that you will be more likely to stick with a workout routine if you have a friend, spouse, or family member holding you accountable. No one wants to look or feel silly in front of someone else, so find a gym buddy regularly and work out with them. You’ll both stay motivated and keep each other on track. If you are starting, don’t overdo it. Find something fun (or tolerable) that gets your body moving, and then go from there!
