Can You Have A Fry Up On Slimming World?

Slimming World has some strict rules about the foods you can and can’t eat on their plan, but sometimes there are times when your cravings need to be fed – no matter how much it goes against their rules! With this in mind, we decided to look at Slimming World meals to see if you could have a fry up on a diet and still lose weight! Here’s what we found…

My journey to slim

In case you were wondering, I started SLIMMING WORLD just over a year ago, and before that, I was super overweight. At my heaviest, I weighed about 20 stones. That’s nearly 140 kilos for my non-UK readers.

Portion Sizes

Most people don’t realize how many calories they consume over time because most of us have no idea what a standard portion size is. We rarely measure our food in a standard unit (i.e., tablespoons, cups, etc.), so it’s hard to track how much we eat or drink on any given day. So, if you want to lose weight and eat healthily but still enjoy your food, ditch any special diet restrictions and track your portions instead.

Is it realistic for me to have a fry up on Slimming World?

Of course, it’s possible to have a fry up on SW. Many people do – including me – but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. One or two rashers of bacon and one or two slices of black pudding are fine, but that’s about as far as I would go when eating fatty foods on SW. If you want something more substantial, you might consider trying to make a ham or turkey sandwich without too much mayonnaise and swap out white bread for wholemeal.
